Laboratory analyses include radiocarbon dating of samples (14C), stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen from bone material, as well as XRF and isotope analysis of lead and tin in bronze objects.

To enable dietary reconstruction, 30 samples of human bones from the Bribir – Štale site were selected and sent for stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen. Collagen extraction from the bones is carried out at the Institute of Anthropology.

Ten samples from the Vrpolje Kosa site were sent for radiocarbon (14C) analysis. The samples were sent to the Vilnius Radiocarbon Laboratory in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since these are the only samples from this site, stable isotope analysis of carbon and nitrogen was conducted simultaneously with radiocarbon dating.

For XRF and lead and tin isotope analysis, two samples from the Vrpolje – Kosa site (bronze rings from graves G 7 and G 71) and one sample from the Piramatovci – Vrbica site (a bronze circlet from grave G 116) were sent.
